Description

The MasterSTEP T2 GridStep is a double steel rear access step designed to fit directly beneath the flange-mounted towball of a towbar. It is suitable for vans, commercial vehicles, campervans and motorhomes equipped with an appropriate towbar featuring a 2 × M16 flange-mounted towball with 90 mm bolt-hole centres.

The open, profiled steel grid surface provides a convenient foothold when accessing the rear of the vehicle, while helping to reduce the build-up of water, mud, sand and snow.

The step uses the existing towball mounting points. No additional drilling or separate underbody support brackets are required.

The MasterSTEP T2 GridStep is designed for vehicles equipped with a suitable flange-mounted towball.

Compatibility depends primarily on the towball mounting arrangement, rather than the vehicle make or model alone.

Before purchasing, please check:

• flange-mounted towball secured with 2 × M16 bolts
• bolt-hole centres of 90 mm
• whether the additional step is permitted under the towbar manufacturer’s design and installation instructions

Mounts directly beneath the towball

The GridStep is installed beneath the flange-mounted towball, using the existing towbar mounting points.

Mounting specifications:

• flange-mounted towball: 2 × M16
• bolt-hole centres: 90 mm
• step mounting hole diameter: Ø17 mm

There is no need to drill additional holes in the vehicle or fabricate separate underbody mounting brackets.

Installation must comply with the towbar manufacturer’s requirements for towball mounting and permitted installation configurations.

Open steel grid stepping surface

The stepping surface features an open steel grid with profiled edges.

This design allows water and smaller debris to pass through the grid rather than accumulating on the surface.

The profiled steel surface provides a practical foothold for everyday use.
