Towbar for Fiat Ducato Motorhome (from 06/2006-) – version with rear-mounted tank

Description

Model 371600 is a mechanical towbar system for motorhomes based on the Fiat Ducato from 06/2006 onwards. It has been specifically designed for from 06/2006 onwards. It has vehicles with a grey-water or waste-water tank located at the rear end of the chassis.

The wide crossmember and adjustable mounting height allow the system to be installed on motorhomes with a long rear overhang where a standard towbar cannot be used because of the tank position or body construction.

The system is also suitable for compatible motorhome conversions based on the Citroën Jumper and Peugeot Boxer. It is not intended for panel vans or campervans.

Is this towbar suitable for your motorhome?

Model 371600 is the correct version if:

• your motorhome is based on a Fiat Ducato, Citroën Jumper or Peugeot Boxer from 06/2006 onwards,
• a tank is located directly at the rear end of the chassis,
• the vehicle has a long rear overhang,
• the body construction requires a wide crossmember,
• the rear overhang does not exceed 2,530 mm,
• the vehicle has no SAWIKO RA030i preparation.

Actual compatibility depends on the chassis design, tank position, motorhome body and the location of other components underneath the vehicle.

The permitted towing capacity and nose weight are always determined by the lowest applicable value stated in the vehicle documents, towbar approval and specifications provided by the vehicle, trailer or carrier manufacturer.

When using a bicycle carrier or rear-mounted platform, the additional forces created by the lever effect must also be considered. The weight of the towbar system reduces the motorhome’s available payload. The permitted rear axle load must not be exceeded.

The vehicle-specific 13-pin wiring kit is not included in the standard mechanical kit and can be ordered separately.

Professional installation

The system must be installed by a qualified workshop in accordance with the supplied installation instructions. Before installation, the workshop must check the tank position, routing of pipes, available mounting points and installation space.

Preparing the system for the specific vehicle configuration simplifies installation and reduces the need for subsequent modifications to the vehicle.
